Eleanor (Chore) Peters, 98, of Lincoln, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020. She was born in Bristow, Nebraska on March 26, 1921, to Joseph & Anna (Benson) Chore. She married Ruben Peters of Henderson, Nebraska on April 27, 1946.
Together, they raised four children and lived in the same house on South 30th St., Lincoln for 66 years before moving into the Legacy Estates retirement community in 2017. Eleanor was employed outside of the home at Brandeis in downtown Lincoln and as a Health Aide at Prescott Elementary.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ruben, her parents Joseph & Anna Chore, her sisters, Viola Petty, Geneva Stearns, and Nola Jean Newsham, and is survived by her children; Steven Peters, Julie Peters, Eric Peters, and Jeannie (Peters) Brown and son-in-law J.D. Brown, along with grandchildren Kyle Peters (spouse, Musou) & Jason Peters (fiancée, Carley), Molly & Judson Brown, and Cory (Brown) Davison (spouse, Alex), and great-grandchildren Elise & Zona Peters, Mariama Peters, and Luca & Maddox Davison.
The Celebration of Life is scheduled at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 24, Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home 6800 South 14th St. Lincoln.
