Debra Marie Jensen

Survived by sisters Barbara Whitson and Nancy {Jerry] Down, niece Jennifer {Mark} Aring, nephews Darin {Bethany} Kent Jensen and Donald Jensen, great-nieces Amber Aring, Ashley Aring, Amethyst Kozak Jensen and Sapphire Kent Jensen; aunts Anna Mae Julesgard, Oline Ackles, Dorathy Babcock, Reta Johnson and Lauriene Dickerson and one uncle, Lowell Johnson; numerous extended family who loved her. As well as many close friends who were very dear to her. Debra was a devout Christian. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. She attended Sheridan Lutheran Church and Spirit of Hope Lutheran Church. She spent most of her life in Lincoln, Nebraska. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1969 and attended the University of Nebraska. She was a doting aunt and great-aunt. She was devoted to her family and loved to attend reunions and gatherings with extended family. She enjoyed playing cards and games, puzzles, reading and crafts. She made afghans for many family members. Her last project was making Chrismons (Christian tree decorations). Her first job was in the laundry room at the Villager Motel. She went on to work for Cole’s Cross Reference Directory, Internal Revenue Service and night auditor at several hotels. Many of her closest friends were cultivated from her former co-workers and from her church.

Service will be held at Sheridan Lutheran Church on September 23, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Memorials to family or favorite Christian charity.
