Daryl E. Lindsey, 68, went to join the “Master Angler” in the sky on Aug. 22, 2015. He was born in Burwell, NE, to Raymond and Ethel (Lewis) Lindsey on May 3, 1947. He graduated from Burwell High School and was then drafted into the Army to serve in Vietnam in the 1st Brigade 101st Air Borne Division. There he earned the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and two Commendation Medals. Upon his return to the states, he went to Milford Trade School where he earned an electrical degree. He later formed his own company; Wire Rite Electric. He later began building homes under the names of Lindsey Construction and Silver Creek Investments. Survived by his wife Genie; children Carrie (Ben) Fann, Chris (Rachelle) Lindsey; four grandchildren, Aidan, Sophia, Chandler and Gabbi and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents and three siblings. Cremation services at a later date in Burwell, NE. Open house with the family at their home, 6159 Old Farm Ct., on Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, from 4:00-7:00 pm. Please, no flowers or memorials.
