Darlene May Webb-Brummer – born May 20, 1936. Died December 14, 2014 at The Waterford at Williamsburg. Survivors include Sister, Betty Sautter, Grand Island, NE daughter Terri L Masters (Mark Masters), Oklahoma City,OK. son, Rick Webb, Aurora, CO, daughter Cindy K Kaminski (Joe Kaminski), Canon City, CO, Daughter Lisa Webb, Lincoln, NE 6 Grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren Preceded in death by Husband Harold Brummer, father Jay Luse, mother, Zelma Luse (Artz) Darlene was a lifetime resident of Lincoln, Ne. Went to high school at Lincoln High School. After she graduated she worked part time at the Lincoln Journal Star. She also taught dance at Arthur Murray Studios. After her children were born, she worked at American stores for over 20 years where she met her future husband, Harold Brummer. After American Stores closed she took classes and got her CDL license so she could drive a truck and her and Harold went on the truck across the country where she enjoyed going places she had never been before. When Harold got sick, she took a full-time job at Bryan LGH East working in various positions and worked there for over 20 years. At the same time she took a part time job at Milder Manor on the weekends and continued to work both jobs for over 20 years. This meant working 7 days a week with only 2 days off a month. She retired from both positions in 2012. She then spent the rest of her time with her long time friend, George Hoag. They loved spending time together doing everything from shopping, cooking and going to Karaoke every opportunity they could. She met so many new friends and she loved watching George sing. They legacy she leaves to her family is one of strength, hard work and dedication. We will miss her dearly. Memorial Service Saturday December 20, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Inurnment to follow at Lincoln Memorial Park. No viewing or visitation. Memorials in her memory may be directed to the family for future designation.
