She joined into eternity with her Lord, Jesus Christ, on November 20, 2024, surrounded by her 4 daughters. Nancy is preceded in death by her mother, Alice Oliver, sister, Linda Montgomery, husband Thomas Riddle, and son, Craig Riddle.
She is survived by her children: Denise Alves (Matt Alves), Pamela Lawley (Gage Lawley), Janet Shaw (J.P. Shaw), Gayle Mendoza (Anthony Mendoza), her grandchildren: Courtney (Jacob), Natalie, Kelsey, Madeline, Julian, Creed, Merritt, Cade, Ryel, Levi, Allison, Briahna, Jace, Farrah, Mason, and great grandchildren: Jane and baby boy Henning. Nancy is survived by her sister Chris Torre (Steven) and brother in law Dennis Montgomery, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her bonus daughter Chrissy Zilkens (Martin Zilkens), and many extended family members and friends.
Nancy was most proud of her roles as loving wife and mother. She met the love of her life in high school, and will now spend forever with her prom date. Nancy and Tom loved to travel, seeing much of the world, and especially enjoyed cruises in their retirement years. Nancy participated in many mission trips, serving others in South Korea and back in the United States. She often used her gift of cooking on these trips to serve the Teams and those in need. Nancy loved babies! She was always eager to hold and love on a grandbaby, or any baby! She volunteered holding NICU babies that needed some extra care and love.
Once her children were all in school, Nancy took a job at US Bank, then later Chase Bank, working as a teller. She made many friends with both colleagues and customers. Nancy loved her family and friends. She was happy to cook or bake (her sugar cookies will forever be famous with her children) and enjoyed visiting with those she loved. She loved puzzles, frogs, her apple decor, and cats. Nancy had a deep faith and loved Jesus. Though dementia caused many struggles over the last couple of years, her joyous spirit was still evident. While heartbroken over her loss, her daughters remain thankful knowing that she is reunited with the family that went before, who are celebrating her arrival with the big “pretty party” that was waiting.
We invite all to join us in celebrating her life on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 9:30 AM, at the Lincoln Funeral Home Chapel, 406 H Street, Lincoln CA 95648. The burial will follow at the Manzanita Cemetery in Lincoln CA.
