Michael John Giacchetta, 34, of Salt Lake City, Utah passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023. He was born in Allentown PA and raised in Royersford PA. He was the beloved son of Linda Giambrone of Royersford and the late Andrew T Giacchetta. He is also survived by his siblings Christopher Giambrone, Erick Giambrone, and Rachael Giambrone.
Michael was a graduate of Spring-Ford High School, class of 2007. During his teen years, “Mikey G” became very involved in the youth ministry at Christ’s Church of the Valley in Royersford, PA where he made many close life-long friends.
Michael proudly served our country in the US Army from 2011 until 2014 which included a tour of duty in Iraq. He was awarded The Army Achievement Medal for outstanding service while serving as a combat engineer during Operation New Dawn in Iraq.
With a great passion for the film industry, Michael attended Full Sail University in Winter Park FL at which he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in the Entertainment Business Degree Program. After graduating, he had the opportunity to attend the Cannes Film Festival and even acted as Faye Dunaway’s bodyguard for an evening.
He had a heart for helping others which led him to humanitarian efforts in Belize and most recently in Ukraine. He was a lover of nature and enjoyed the beautiful mountains and canyons of Utah.
Michael will be lovingly remembered by family and friends as a beautiful soul who was so kind to everyone around him. And of course, we cannot forget his wonderful sense of humor! His legacy will live in our hearts forever.
Family and friends are invited to Michael’s memorial at Limerick Garden of Memories, 44 E. Arcadia Drive, Limerick PA 19468 on Saturday May 27th at 10AM.
