Mary Jane Owens, 68 of Lima, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 10:15 a.m. She was born on July 2, 1949 to William Lee and Alice Mae (Wallace) Caudill and they precede her in death. On July 12, 1997, she married William Russell “Rusty” Owens, Jr. and he survives her.
Mary was mother to Steve (Mai) Carmean ,Vaneesa (Shaine) Jacobs, Daniel (Tonya) Carmean all of Lima and was preceded in death by a son: William R. Owens, III. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Johnny Lee, Stephanie (Drew) Lawson, Ellena Carmean, Matthew Jacobs, Dante Carmean, Dawson Carmean, Jewelyanna Carmean, Aliceson Carmean, Josselyn Carmean, Drake Carmean, Vincent Brown, Elijah Carmean, Micah Spencer Osterhout Owens, Sophia Osterhout Owens, Noah Owens and Riley Machalib Carmean who is deceased. Also surviving are her two great grandchildren, Patrick Allen Lawson and Aimee Lynn Lawson.
Mary also leaves to cherish her memories her siblings, Merdi Caudill of Celina, Ross Daniel Caudill of London, Ohio; Barbara Marich of Melbourne, Florida and Louvica Carmean of Lima. She had been lifelong friends with Donna Stough, Jawnie Hale, Cheryl Jordan and Clay Chalupa and was predeceased by friend Maureen Davenport. She is also survived by a host of nephews, nieces and many good friends.
Mary’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the nursing staff of Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center especially ICU, 7K, 7E, 4B, 3B and to Physical and Occupational Therapy. Also to St. Rita’s Hospice and their nursing staff a heartfelt thanks to their staff for their loving care shown to Mary and to our family. To Dr. Justin Moore---you will always have a special place in our hearts for the wonderful care you gave to Mary. And to all who have sent prayers and condolences, we thank you.

Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the Greater Chirst Temple 511 E Second Street Lima. Family and friends may call Wednesday, February 28 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at SIFERD-ORIANS FUNERAL HOME. And again Thursday from 12noon until 1 p.m. at the church.
