April 2016, Lori and I spent a couple of days together while in Nashville for one of 
Accubuilts business trips.  We had a blast shopping at all the cute shops along with some relaxing pool time!  We also went on a tour of Nashville on a bus!  I am sure Lori has some pics in her phone from Then! I do remember taking  a pic of her with a brick wall that said Nashville! Please try to find to place with my post!  
I will always remember her kind loving nature!  Speaking of nature, we both loved the animals and appreciate the same little things!  We could sure talk about the birds, deer and all the critters  she would see at home.  So many words to describe how amazing she was!  Kind Caring Fun, nature and people loving, Always smiling and just  on Point! I so wish I could be together as she was always! 💕

Quite a few years ago, I am going to say 15 or so..., we invited Mike and Lori and a bunch of our dearest friends, to spend a few days with us, prior to attending a convention in Toronto. We accommodated some at our home in the country and others we booked them in a friend’s incredible B&B about 2mikes from us.
Mike and Lori stayed there. And every Morning, Lori would Jog to our place and Mike followed her  in the car. 
Grace reminded me that Lori not only jogged to our house every morning, she jogged backwards the whole way..on a dirt road...backwards!
She was fit, she was fun, she was loving, she was Amazing.
And she said Oh my God (OMG) a lot, because everything was awesome to her.

One of the many things I will always treasure about Lori was her natural artistic ability .  She never hesitated  to pursue  a remodeling idea or furniture refinishing project. To my horror, Lori knocked down walls in her home, painted a maple dining table pink and black, and glued broken mirror pieces on her bathroom wall. I was always surprised  to see that each finished project was spectacular! Lori's flair for decorating was amazing - she was always my go-to person for advice and I always valued her opinion.  Lori handcrafted beautiful gifts such as seashell bouquets, crocheted blankets and scarves, and beautiful paintings. Lori had a passion for life; for animals, for nature, and most of all for her family. She was a blessing to all of us and will be truly missed, and thought of daily by many.

I first met Lori in the 1970s when we both were selected to join the Lima Junior Service League.  We were among a class of five newly selected Provisional Members.  The first task we were assigned was to create a skit that we could perform for the members as our introduction to them.  We had about a month’s time to prepare.  

We decided to hold a number of coffees at each other’s’ homes.  So each week we packed up the little ones and got to work.  The conversations were hysterical with no direction at first but Lori put us on the right track of being a group of five young Chinese women who had families and jobs but hours and hours and hours to devote to service!   It was perfect as it gave each of us a role too.   Lori was our fresh-faced provisional with four live-in old, old grandparents, a husband, six babies and a 10-hour a day part-time job.  That allowed her at least 25 hours a week to volunteer.  Dressed in her beautiful kimono, she carried it off with all the seriousness in the world.  Our group was a total hit with the members!  

The League’s major fundraiser at that time was a Style Show that really was the kick-off to fall in Lima.  Lori and I modeled together in the show numerous times.  She was always professional and gorgeous with the greatest smile in the room!  

Anytime I think of Lori, my first reaction is to smile!  I think she had the effect on everyone she met!

I feel so blessed to have had Lori as my Godmother. I have so many lovely memories of spending time with her at each special occasion in my life, and so many moments with her loving family. Lori never forgot a birthday and had a way to make every one feel so very special and loved. Her personality was so gracious and sweet. She has and will always continue to be a loving role model for me. 

A fond memory I have of my time spent with Lori, is sitting at her table in front of the window in her  Redbud Lane home, drinking coffee or having a glass of wine. Relaxing and visiting. Matthew and Hannah would be playing with Lori’s shells or other fun knick knacks around her home while I got some adult time. Lori’s home was always warm and welcoming. She just had a way about her that always made you feel good.  I will miss our chats immensely. ❤️ 

We remember meeting Lori not long after she moved into their Winged Foot Way home in Cincinnati. We shared a love of dogs which immediately made us connect. Of course not to mention Lori and I also shared a love of wine. We had so many enjoyable late afternoons having a glass of wine and chitchatting. We developed a friendship I will always cherish.  Our dog Scudder and Lori were in love with each other, sorry Mike.  Whenever Lori's front door opened and Scudder was in our front yard Scudder would just whine and carry on until Lori would cross the street, give him a treat and of course lots of lovings. Lori was such a wonderful, caring and generous person. Mike and Lori were the best neighbors we've ever had.

As a young boy growing up on Redbud Lane in Lima, Ohio, the memories of the blue house next door and the beautiful woman that lived there are some of my strongest to this day.   Closing my eyes, I can vividly remember so many details.  The paintings on the walls, the large black dining table, the sprawling white couch in the living room which had the highest ceiling I had seen, the quaint backyard and garden.  So many cherished memories would occur in those rooms, from spending hours fascinated by Lori’s seashell collection, eating cinnamon toast at the kitchen table looking out on the front yard, and beautiful massive Christmas trees so meticulously decorated each year.  
I remember spending hours one winter together with Lori, Mike, and his son Jason, creating a huge snowman.  My hands were so cold when we finally went inside, I thought they might fall off.  Lori took my small, cold, wet hands into hers and like magic they were warmed immediately.  To me, she was my angel on earth. 
Over the years, I cherish the memories shared with Lori and between our families, so grateful for the fateful choice of a house on Redbud Lane that would bring her into our lives.  I am grateful to have been able to introduce my wife to the woman that would originally serve as the prototype that ultimately led me to her.  To have Lori and Mike with us to celebrate our marriage, having traveled to Cleveland, and amidst very trying times, we are grateful beyond words.  We will miss Lori dearly, but the memories and indelible mark she has left on our lives will always remain. 

I will cherish the memories of my big sister, Lori.  She was always so loving, caring and full of life. I miss her smile and voice each day.  Life will never be the same without her. Lori is watching over us. She will always be with with us. Miss you soul sister.


Lori was a special lady to me and my daughter, I only knew her from church but what an amazing friend she was to me.. When I would walk in her smile caught my attention every time, she would always come over and give Rachel and myself the biggest warmest hug!! Lori was kind, loving and such a blessing to our lives!! Thank you Lori for making my church experience everything it was then and now.. and for being such a wonderful friend!!

Christmas 2014 was the first time I met Lori. She was so welcoming and made me feel apart of the family. I’ll never forget that glowing smile she always had. I could tell she really loved her family. She was so happy to see the smiles on all of her grandchildren’s faces when they opened their gifts. I received a beautiful charm bracelet that year with some of the most meaningful charms at that time in my life. I still have my charm bracelet and I will always cherish that gift. I only knew her for a short period of time, but in that short amount of time, I could see the amazing, selfless, loving, and fun person she truly was. Words cannot express how heavy my heart is for you and your Family. Although I did not get to meet your beautiful wife;  I will however cherish the stories that you shared with me about her.

May memories of "Lorraine" and the love of family surround you and give you strength in the days ahead.

Lori and I were childhood friends from St. Charles. I have many fond memories playing at her house, we both were loaded with sisters so there was always lots of girlie things to do.

Words aren't coming easily, at all, Mike.  Joanne and I simply can't absorb it.  You said that Lori was your best friend for 30 years, and everyone knows that is the truest of feelings. Mike, we  go back pretty far.   I remember your wedding day and how happy Lori looked.   Our trip to Canada  provided many laughs and always, Lori's radiant smile.  I will always remember Lori's smile.

Lori was a beautiful person in every way.   She will be sorely missed.  However, we do know that her suffering is over and that she is in the arms of God now.
