Jerry D. Holland, 75, of Spencerville, died at 10:30 p.m., Friday, May 16, 2014 in his residence. He was born March 16, 1939, in Lima, to William Doyle and Edith Pauline (Williams) Holland who preceded him in death. On June 12, 1982, he married Sue K. Campton who survives.
Also surviving are: a daughter, Kristina (David) Filpovich of Aurora, IL; two stepchildren: Julie (James) Wortman of Wapakoneta and Brian (Karen) Beck of Bellmore, NY; a sister, Nancy Bender of Sarasota, FL; five grandchildren: Courtney, Natalie, Emili, Shelby, Andrew and Tristan; a niece, Tonya Wonderlie; and nephews: Timothy and Thomas Truesdale.
A granddaughter, Abigail, preceded him in death.
Mr. Holland had been a mechanic in the service garage at General Dynamics, retiring in 1996. He was a collector and restorer of automobiles. He served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam Conflict.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2014, at SIFERD-ORIANS FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. David Stanford officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by the V.F.W. Post 1275 and the United States Army Honor Guard.
Visitation will be on Thursday, from 2-8 p.m., in the funeral home.
