Florence E. Miller, 92, of Lima, died at 11:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 26, at her residence. She was born Oct. 4, 1918, in Lima, to John and Marie (Wade) Ribley, who preceded her in death. On July 3, 1938, she married Robert G. Miller who died Sept. 10, 1992.
Mrs. Miller, or “Little Flo”, as she was known, was a homemaker and had worked at the DWG Cigar Factory until it closed. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society where she had been Past President. She was a 1936 graduate of Lima St. John’s High School. She had been a member of St. John’s Bowling League.
Surviving are 4 sons: Don Miller, Jim (Candi) Miller both of Lima, Tim (Nita) Miller of Snellville, GA, David (Gin) Miller of Lima; a brother: Richard (Mary) Ribley of Lima; a sister: Betty Russell of St. Petersburg, FL; and a sister-in-law: Betty Ribley of Lima; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and her special caregivers, Pam Shepard and her daughters, Jessie, Amanda and Sam who provided her care for 16 years.
She was preceded in death by two sons: William John Miller and Robert Lynn Miller; a sister, Virginia (Ace) Grant; brothers, Ralph Ribley and John Ribley; a brother-in-law, Bill Russell.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, at St. John Catholic Church, Lima, with Fr. David Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4, and 6-8 p.m. at the Siferd-Orians Funeral Home, where a Parish Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.
