Steven S Brooks

Steven Brooks was born in Atlanta, Georgia on February 1, 1948 to Haynie Spence Brooks Jr. and Martha Blackwood Brooks. Steve passed on January 2, 2020 in Canton Georgia. He owned and operated Brigham Press Printing Company along with his wife Arlene Brown (deceased October 2018). They were together for almost 30 years and you never saw one without the other. Steve had the biggest heart and he loved being around people, his door was always open for his friends and family. Steve graduated from the University of Georgia. He loved the Bulldogs and rarely missed a game. Steve had a great love for animals, he always had pets from flying squirrels, raccoons, and pigeons to dogs and cats. He leaves behind two loving cats, Fritz & Houdee. Steve had taken care of Arlene's parents and then his parents until they passed. We are going to miss a big brother and friend to all. He is survived by, his sister Marilyn Brooks Van Atta, nephew, Gregory Russell Jenkins; his aunt Mary Brooks; and many wonderful cousins on the Brooks & Blackwood side of the family. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor a life well lived. In lieu of flowers the donations can be made to St Andrew United Methodist Church (3455 Canton Road, Marietta GA. 30066)
