She was born on November 23, 1922 to Lila and Paul Smith in Franklin, PA.
She grew up with a love for music and sang on the local radio station, and in her high school choir and theatre group.
After graduating from Franklin High School in 1940; she worked in the office for several plants that made military equipment and parts for World War II. She meet her future husband, James B. Weber on a blind date through mutual friends. They were married on February 23, 1957 and made Columbus, Ohio their home. They were transferred to Philadelphia, PA and again to Atlanta, GA where they made their home for the next 57 years.
Mom aka Mimi was a very strong and independent woman who loved Jesus, her husband, children, grand and great grand children, and family with all of her heart. She (very much like her mother) never met a stranger, had a zest for life, and a feisty personality. We will miss her very much.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula W. Martin, grandchildren Wesley Martin and Erica Martin, great grandson Mason Puente, and numerous other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Weber, daughter Peggy Weber Madison, brother Kenneth Smith, mother Lila Ackerman, and father Paul Smith.
A memorial service was held on Friday, October 30, 2020 at Advantage Funeral Home Chapel in Lilburn, GA.
There will be a celebration of her life at Edinburg Christian Church on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to The American Cancer Society.
