Ruth Robinson Elliott

Ruth was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church of Liberty. She loved gardening and always appreciated beautiful flowers, the outdoors and all of God’s creation. She especially enjoyed her azaleas and dogwoods. After retirement, she took up quilting as a hobby and enjoyed making them for friends and family.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Shiloh United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Groome officiating; burial will follow at Dr. Clyde M. Gilmore Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 1, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home in Liberty.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Annie Robinson; husband, Clifton “Smokey” Elliott; six sisters and six brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth E. Coble (Larry); grandchildren, Jessica Coble Russell and Erica Coble Flinchum (Justin); great-grandchildren, Gray Russell, Asa Russell, Brooks Flinchum, Baydyn Flinchum, and Riley Flinchum.

At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27217, or to Shiloh United Methodist Church, PO Box 774, Liberty, NC 27298.
