Phillip Marshall James

He was a US Air Force veteran and retired from International Union of Elevator Constructors.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Christian Church Cemetery with Rev. Howard Spray officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home, Liberty and other times at the home of his son, Aaron.

He was the son of the late Marvin Oliver and Emma Stewart James and was also preceded in death by his son, Kevin James and brother, Joe James.

Surviving are his sons, Kenneth James and Aaron James (Rebecca); daughter-in-law, Cathy James; sisters, Iris Roof, Louise Purgason, Brenda Sheppard (Glenn), Dorothy Davis, Elizabeth McGee; brothers, Don James (Betty) and Sam James; grandchildren, Austin, Phillip, Autumn, Lauren, Junior, Sarah and Gabby James; his best friend, Hot Dog and Ex-wife, Brenda James.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Hill Christian Church, 1712 Pleasant Hill-Liberty Road, Liberty, NC 27298.
