Peggy Louise Staley Jones

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Union United Methodist Church with Rev. Keith Newell officiating; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service.

Peggy was the daughter of the late Arthur Ernest and LuVilla Mae Shoffner Staley and was also preceded in death by sisters, Thelma Osborne, Ruth Hicks and Patsy Smith and three brothers, Ted Staley, Dean Staley and Hubert “Bud” Staley.

She is survived by her husband William Robert “Bobby” Jones of Liberty; daughter, Cindy Jones Garrett and husband, Tim of Liberty; son, William Michael “Mike” Jones and wife, Janet of Seagrove; grandchildren, Emily Garrett, Will Jones, Clay Jones and Drew Garrett; great-grandchildren, Tozzi and Ava Rose Garrett; sister, Linda Gilmore and husband, Bill; brothers, George Staley and wife, Patty, Kenneth Staley and wife, Betty, Gwynn Staley and wife, Dee; sisters-in-law, Norma Staley and Rosa Lee Staley and brother-in-law, Bill Hicks.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sandy Creek Baptist Church, Memo: Liberty Backpack Program, 4765 Sandy Creek Church Road, Liberty, NC 27298.
