Monty Raye Snoddy

Monty Raye Snoddy, age 66, of Hubert, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 12, 1958, in Randolph County, NC, Monty was the eldest son of the late Elbert Wade Snoddy and Nancy Hicks Snoddy. He was a devoted father and "PaPa" who cherished his family above all else.

Monty found solace near the water and spent his recent years fishing and kayaking off the coast of North Carolina. Prior to retiring, he resided in Augusta, GA, where he enjoyed the company of his closest family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Christine Parker and her husband, Chris, along with his three adored grandsons, Cole, Caden, and Channing. He is also survived by his former wife, Vickie Snoddy, and his siblings Keith, Kevin, and Mark Snoddy, Shay Green, Lisa Snoddy, Julia Snoddy and Eric Snoddy.

A gathering to celebrate Monty's life will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at The Loflin Funeral Home, located at 212 W. Swannanoa Avenue, Liberty, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude Memorial Fund in honor of Monty Raye Snoddy.
