Mary was a native of Alamance County and a graduate of Walter B. Williams High School in Burlington, NC. She was employed for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Randolph Hospital. She was known for being a character, fun-loving and full of life. Mary had a love for cooking and caring for others.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Faith Temple Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Temple Baptist Church, 3075 Mack Lineberry Road, Franklinville, NC officiated by Dr. Neil Poole and Pastor Jon Shook. She will be laid to rest on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Pine Hill Cemetery in Burlington.
She was the daughter of the late Olis Louise Loman and was also preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Wayne Sharpe and David Willard Sharpe.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Lisa Turner Wright (Jim) and Charles David "Chuck" Turner, Sr. (Doris); seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their most heartfelt gratitude to Barbara Smart, her caregiver who became part of the family, for the compassionate care shown to Mary over the last several months.
