Wayne was born in Adrian, Missouri on August 21, 1938. He graduated from Adrian High School in 1956 and served in the US Army from 1956-1958.
He spent 20 years in Liberty, Missouri, where he raised his family. After he retired, he and his wife, Juanita, moved to Berryville, Arkansas where they spent many years before returning to Liberty to be closer to family.
Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita, in April 2023; his parents; two brothers; and one sister.
Wayne is survived by his son, Michael (Michelle) Sullins of Platte City; daughters Michelle (Denny) Short of Liberty and Melissa Myers of Lee's Summit; stepsons Ed Coleman of Lee's Summit and Jason Coleman of Oregon; stepdaughters Doris Coleman of Raytown and Pam (Ron) Roberts of Florida; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren on both sides of the family.
