Edward Saylor Jr

Edward Saylor Jr., 55, of Liberty, died at his residence on Wednesday, June 19, 2013. Edward was born in Elgin, Illinois, on May 20, 1958, to Edward Sr., and Pat Bird Saylor He graduated from Union County High School in 1976 and married the former Annette Lafuze on February 11, 1978 at Hanna’s Creek Christian Church. Edward was employed as a mechanic and farm hand. He enjoyed stock car racing, hunting, and most of all, time spent with the grandchildren. Edward is survived by his parents of Richmond; his wife: Annette; three daughters and their spouses: Vanessa Gray and Adam of Canonsburg, PA; Amanda Saylor of Liberty; Laura Middleton and Justun of Nabb; a sister: Beverly Haber and her husband Chuck of Rossburg, OH; three grandchildren: Elijah Middleton; Gracie Middleton; and Kayleigh Burns. Edward was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Saylor. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 23, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, Liberty, with Rev. Scott Bell officiating. Friends may visit the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. Sunday until the time of the service where memorial contributions may be made to Reid Hospital Foundation.
