Tammy Sue Sanders, of Pelion, passed away at 52 years old on February 18th after battling lung rejection. She was born on September 12, 1971 in Seymour, Indiana. Tammy grew up in Indiana until her parents moved to South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Robert Glen Sweet and survived by her mother, Doris Sweet.
Tammy was predeceased in death by her father, Robert Glen Sweet and many other family members. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, John Sanders, of Pelion; her mother, Doris Sweet, of Pelion; her sisters, Loretta (Gene Sr.), of Pelion and Tracy (Clyde) Stokes, of Cayce; her sons, Joseph Moore, of Lexington, JT Sanders, of Lexington, and Gene, Jr., of Pelion; her daughters, Kayla (Ronnie) McGowan, of Pelion, Heather (Tommy) Hill, of Laurens, Amy (Kristin) Davis, of Lexington, and Susan (Derek) Mitchell, of Leesville; her grandchildren: Paige, Melody, Mason, Robert, Haygen, Phoebe and Jesse; mother-in-law, Cathy Childers, of Orangeburg; and sister-in-law, Missy, of Pelion. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Tammy enjoyed shooting pool with her husband and friends, watching movies, playing board games, riding motorcycles and spending time with her family and grandkids. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother. She loved watching Clemson football and teasing other family members who liked Carolina.
No funeral services will be held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
