Patricia Shealey Sanders

Patricia Shealey Sanders, 88, of Newberry, SC, passed away on December 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Columbia, SC, to Clinton B. and Etta Shealey, Patricia was known for her warmth, generosity, and deep faith.

A lifelong giver, Patricia was a devout Christian and a member of Whaley Street United Methodist Church for over 40 years. Her involvement in community and social organizations brought her great joy. She was a proud member of the Daughters of the Nile, the Capitol City Shag Club, the Palmetto Shag Club, and the Carolina Jessamines chapter of the Red Hat Society. Patricia’s friends remember her as an incredible cook and baker, always ready to share her talents with others.

She is survived by her children: daughter Pamela White, sons Randy McKnight and Darrell Poole, and sons-in-law Evans Johnson and Dwayne Jones; her grandchildren Kristen Kirby (Cale), Trey Bell (Cheryl), and Darby Jones; her great-grandchildren Cainan Kirby and Henley Bell; and her nephew and niece Danny Ray Schumpert and Tammy Kendrick. She was predeceased by her parents, her daughter Katherine Teresa Poole Jones, her son-in-law Troy Phillip White, her sister Audrey Schumpert, her brother Ronnie Schumpert, and her great-granddaughter Zoë Candler Bell.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
