Johnny Pierce Shull

Johnny Pierce Shull, 79, of Anderson, SC, passed away on July 10, 2023. He was born on December 12, 1943, in Columbia, SC. Johnny was a very friendly, caring, and sweet individual who touched the lives of many.

Johnny dedicated 41 years of his life to the National Guard, where he served with distinction. He was a proud member of the military and lived by the values instilled in him during his service.

Throughout his career, Johnny worked as a mechanic for the National Guard. His expertise and dedication were greatly admired by his colleagues. In his free time, Johnny enjoyed being a part of the VFW and Masons organizations. He cherished the camaraderie and friendship he found within these groups.

Johnny is survived by his loving wife, Janice Shull; his sister, Lois Marie Shull Raneri; his son, John Phillip Shull and wife Ashley; his grandson, John Matthew Shull; his granddaughters, Mia and Savannah, and his grandson Joshua.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Alice Shull Cook and his brother, Perry Shull Jr (Pete).

A ceremony to honor Johnny's life will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens 2603 Two Notch Rd, Columbia, SC 29204.

Johnny Pierce Shull will be remembered for his selflessness, kindness, and unwavering commitment to his family, friends, and country. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
