Janet Drafts Boltjes, 69, died on February 23, 2022. She is survived by her two children, Jennifer Boltjes Neary and Paul Boltjes (Haylee). Her grandchildren include Brantlee, Caralee, Lilly and Thomas.
Janet was a former Girl Scout leader and a 1974 Clemson graduate, majoring in Early Education. She went on to earn her Master's degree in Library and Information Science. Janet was an avid quilter. She loved to read and enjoyed being with her book clubs. She adored spending time with her kids and grandkids and passing along her love of baking to her grandkids. She was an active member at Zion Lutheran Church and loved to research Zion's history. Part of her research resulted in Janet making a quilt for the church's 250th anniversary.
In addition to her children, Janet is survived by her parents, John and Norene Drafts; sisters, Carol Sandusky (Mike) and Amy Robson (Jeff), as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Zion Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
