LEXINGTON – James Robert “Jimmy” Marlowe, 77, of Lexington passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017. He was born on August 28, 1939 in Mullins, SC to the late Robert Mayo Marlowe and Agnes Price Marlowe. He served our country in the U.S. Air Force, was a member of the Lexington Lion’s Club, RODEO Breakfast Bunch, and was a long time member of Lexington Baptist Church where he served as an usher for many years. Before retiring in 2015, he was co-owner of Atlas Golf Cars, Inc.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Lois Collum Marlowe; daughter, Laura Marlowe of Lexington; son, Robbie Marlowe (Nancy) of Gilbert; five grandchildren, Tyler Wilson, Collin Rager, Caleb Mize, Rowan Marlowe and Abbie Marlowe, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Randy Marlowe and Gene Marlowe.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Lexington Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
