Jim was born in Motherwell, Scotland on January 18, 1944 to parents, John and Mary Currie. After immigrating with his parents to Canada, he would join the United States Marine Corps in 1964. During his time in the Corps, he would meet Shirley Lewis, who he would marry in 1969. Jim would proudly serve until 1986, when he would settle in Lexington, SC while working in the field of Criminal Justice for another 20 years.
Jim is survived by his wife, Shirley; sons, Kevin and David; granddaughter, Crystal; brother, Tom and sisters, Helen, Mariyln, Fiona, and Cheryl.
Visitation will be hosted at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, between 1:00 - 3:00 PM on Friday, April 15, 2022.
