Glenda Schwartz Dugan, of Lexington, SC passed away on August 20, 2022 at the age of 73. She was born on July 3, 1949 to Jacob Wallace and Magaline Bouye Schwartz. Glenda was the wife to her high school sweetheart, the late William “Tim” Dugan, for nearly 51 years.
She graduated from Lexington High School in 1967 where she met the love of her life, Tim Dugan. They were married in 1969 and chose to remain in Lexington where they continued to build their life together. In 1983, she assisted Tim in founding Dugan Electric, Inc., which continues to operate today.
Glenda treasured time spent with her family. Her three children and seven grandchildren were the lights of her life. She made every effort to support them in all their activities. Glenda also enjoyed treating them with her incredible cooking skills. She made the most delicious meals from recipes of her own and from those passed down from generations before.
She loved dancing, especially with her forever shag partner and husband, Tim. She was a member of the original Carolina Country Cloggers and performed throughout the southeast, including performances at Disney World and on many Caribbean cruises. The beach was her favorite place to be. She loved cruising and going to Myrtle Beach at least once a year.
Every Saturday during the fall, she cheered on her cherished Carolina Gamecocks. Tim and Glenda were among the first to tailgate at the Stadium Club. This tradition continues to thrive today. Although the Gamecocks have seen their tough times, she remained a devoted member of the Gamecock Club.
Glenda is survived by her daughter, Sherry Dugan Keel; son, William “Billy” Dugan; daughter-in-law, Abby Wise Dugan; son-in-law, Zane Morris; and grandchildren, Samantha Gray (Todd), Taylor and Tyler Keel, Savannah and Chloe Morris, Jake and Karl Dugan. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, William “Tim” Dugan; daughter, Gwen Dugan Morris; and beloved fur baby, Annie. She was a remarkable woman that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished in our hearts.
