Gail Meetze Tronco, age 82, of Columbia, South Carolina passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024. She was born on January 18, 1942 to the late Leona Adell Derrick and Charles Roscoe Meetze of Chapin, SC.
Gail worked for her beloved United States Postal Service for over 30 years and helped establish the local letter carrier food drive. She graduated from Columbia High School and went on to attend the University of South Carolina. She was also the secretary and executive vice president for the National Association of Letter Carriers. Gail loved dogs, especially her English Mastiffs. Mason was her favorite. She also loved her orchids, the Carolina Gamecocks, and the Braves.
She is survived by her children, Anthony Jacob Tronco of Columbia, SC and Theresa Tronco Cupstid (Greg) of Lexington, SC; and sister, Rita Baber of Round Rock, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home – Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072, with a reception to follow.
