David Allen Wood

David was the Founder and President of David Wood Ministries, recently renamed to Operation Go International with the main headquarters located in Columbia, SC. With offices located in many countries around the world, the ministry has trained and equipped thousands of National Pastors with the potential of millions of precious souls being led to the Lord. In his earlier ministry he founded and pastored two churches, Harbor Baptist Church in West Columbia, SC and Heritage Baptist Church in Kentwood, MI.

He is survived by his wife, June Arrington Wood; daughters, Faith Prevatte (Eric) of Lexington, SC, Deborah Wood, of Roanoke, VA; sons, David Wood, Jr. (Tamara) of Canton, GA, Jonathan Wood (Jennifer) of Trenton, GA; brothers Fred Wood (Becky) of Charlotte, NC, Sam Wood (Debbie) of Lexington, KY; sisters Mary Tustin (Tom) of Staunton, VA, Diana Wood (Ronnie) of Lexington, SC; grandchildren, Paul, Rachel, Sylvia, Caleb, Leah, Ashlee, Elijah, David III, Simon, Jonathan, and Jayda; along with six precious great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Clara Wood; his brothers, Wayne and Kermit; and his sister, Joan.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Gantt Street Baptist Church, 2121 Gantt St., Cayce, SC, 29033. A graveside service will follow the funeral. The family will receive friends prior to service at 11:00 A.M.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Operation Go International.
