Mrs. Hicks was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church and was part of the Senior Choir. She always had a smile for everyone and loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary L. “Crissy” Hicks; son, V. Allen Hicks, Jr. (Jill) and daughter, Harriet “Lynn” Hicks; grandchildren, Warren Deaver, Thadd Smith, Taylor Coggins (Matt), Brantley Hicks, Jilliyn O'Daniel, Addilynn Hicks, William-O'Neal Allen Hicks; sisters, Daisy Hicks (Terry), Wanda Weaver (Mike); brother-in-law, Billy Hicks (Teresa); sister-in-law, Mary Kyzer; best friends, Larry and Pat Hodges, Suzanne Wise, Felicia Ross and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hicks is predeceased by her husband of 48 years, V. Allen Hicks, Sr.; her parents; and brother-in-law, Wesley Kyzer.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Red Bank Baptist Church, 120 Community Drive, Lexington, SC 29073 with private interment at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 26, 2021 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, 503 N. Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072.
