Brian was a gifted athlete, a left-handed pitcher also known as “Lefty”, and an alumnus of Lexington High School. He was inducted into the Wildcat Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000. He showcased his baseball skills at the University of South Carolina, proudly representing the Gamecocks. His talent and passion for the sport led him to sign with the Los Angeles Dodgers and other minor league baseball teams. After several years pursuing his dreams on the field, Brian transitioned into fatherhood and continued to stay in the game by working as a pitching coach.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, Windy Currie.
He is survived by his loving mother, Patricia; his two cherished daughters, Isabella and MacKenzie; and his younger brother, Craig.
Brian’s legacy of kindness, dedication, and love for his family will be carried on by all who knew him.
At Brian's request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to American Heart Association, an organization meaningful to Brian.
May his memory live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
