Clayton was a dedicated and loyal employee, often considered an educator/mentor in the natural gas industry. He was a strong family provider, and an awesome outgoing husband, father and brother. Clayton enjoyed spending time with family and friends, being in the shop with his brother and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast.
Funeral services for Clayton Andrew Stanton will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The family will receive friends after the service at the chapel, then carry over at Beulah United Methodist Church, 1577 Old State Rd., Gaston, SC.
Surviving are his wife, Cindy Niswender Stanton; daughters, Tina L. Stanton, Eva M. Stanton, Megan C. Stanton and Jennifer L. Pressley; sons, Randy L. Dinkins and Cody A. Dinkins; brothers, Roy B. Stanton, Jimmy Mines, Charlie Mines, Jackie Mines, Roy L. Stanton, Gary Stanton, Daniel Stanton and Michael Stanton; sisters, Gloria Stanton and Cheryl Stanton. Also surviving are his step-parents, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Roy B. Stanton, Sr.; his mother, Erma M. Coflin, and his sons, Thomas D. Stanton and Jeromy J. Stanton.
Clayton may be gone, but will never be forgotten and will always hold a place in everyone’s hearts.
