Scott Merrill of Lewiston, Maine, passed away on Friday, August 13th, 2021. He was born in Bridgeport, CT, September 26th, 1969. Being an ‘Air-Force brat’ he lived in Colorado, Texas, England, Maine and finished his high school years in Middleboro, MA in 1987.
Upon graduation, he went to work for Crowley Engineering in the old Grant building in Downtown Middleboro. Scott started as a copy technician and very quickly became a self-taught CAD and Electrical design expert. At SAR Engineering in Boston, he was intimately involved in working on the “Big Dig” which at the time was the largest public works project in the history of the country. Scott was a natural athlete. Playing soccer, tennis, hockey, baseball and basketball, he excelled at them all at a very young age. He was also a gifted artist and loved to draw and sketch. He absolutely loved his Boston sports teams; the Bruins above all and the Pats in a close second.
