Sabattus, ME – Norman J. St. Amand, 79, of Sabattus passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the lifelong partner of the late Jeannette M. (Soucy) Madore, who died in May of 2016.
He was born in Winslow, ME a son of the late Theophille & Sadie (Belanger) St Amand. He spent most of his childhood in the Waterville area.
Norman worked in the shoe, textile and paper industries. He spent most of his life participating in bowling leagues, eight ball pool and bumper pool leagues.
Norman was an outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, camping, watching baseball, football and wrestling.
He is survived by his two children Michael L. St Amand and his wife Melissa of Sabattus and Marie Nelson of Auburn, ME, and Jeannette’s four children Terry Lamare of Lewiston, ME, Nelson Madore and his wife Michelline of Sabattus, Pauline Nadeau and her husband Raymond of Lewiston and Roland Madore and his wife Diane of Sabattus. He also leaves behind his thirteen grandchildren as well as his brother Carroll St Amand and his wife Geraldine of Lewiston, brother in law Sonny Greenier of Waterville, sister in law Carol of Lake Reno, Nevada and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Gerald St Amand, Madeline Packard and her husband Clifford Packard, Angie Greenier, Robert St. Amand and his lifelong partner Carmen Beaulieu, Harold St Amand, Ronald St Thomas and his wife Carol, Donald St Amand and his wife Anita.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 1 – 4 pm at The Fortin & Pinette Group, 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway, Lewiston. Come root for the Patriots one last time with Norman. A memorial service will be held on Monday at 10 am from the funeral home, followed by a burial at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Auburn.
