She was born in Van Buren, Maine on June 24, 1929, the daughter of the late Willie and Alice (Roi) Parent. She attended Sacred Heart in Auburn and Saint Peter’s School in Lewiston.
She married Leo Ayotte on September 1, 1951. She had been employed at Auburn Wood and Smith Shoe Shop, Lux Clark in Connecticut. Most of all she loved to model shoes for Clarks. She was also a bookkeeper for Wash Ways, which was her husband’s business.
Lil loved music, tv shows especially Laurence Welch and going out to eat. She loved her grandchildren Amanda and Billy and also a special place in her heart for her great grandson Aiden Ayotte.
Lil is survived by her husband Leo Ayotte; her son Ron Ayotte and daughter-in-law Lorette Ayotte; her grandchildren Amanda Ayotte, Billy Ayotte and his wife Caroline; great grandson Aiden Ayotte; and her sister Lorraine Gilmore and husband Earle; and many nieces and nephews.
Lil was predeceased by her twin son, Robert Ayotte; her parents Willie and Alice; brothers Albert, Raymond and Boyd Parent; her sisters Mary Bowie, Evelyn Cyr and Aurore Cote.
Funeral Services honoring Lillian’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter’s Cemetery Mausoleum (Large Chapel). In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lillian’s memory to the St. Jude Children’s Foundation www.stjude.org . At the request of the family there will not be any visitation.
