Juliette Alice Gendron

1942-2022

Juliette A. Gendron, 79, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at her home with her family by her side. She was born June 19, 1942 in Lewiston, the daughter of Romeo and Bertha (Jean) Fontaine.

Juliette loved sewing, quilting, and knitting, creating many blankets, clothing, and mittens for her loved ones. She was often found scurrying around the house picking up and cleaning. She also enjoyed camping at River Bend Campground, Beaver Brook campground and Lake St. George State park as well as going to Eustis on family trips. Juliette was known for her keen ability to build a whopper of a campfire and was called “firebug” by her family. Later in life she enjoyed listening to Bible programs and highlighting her own Bible as she learned more about her Lord and Savior.

She enjoyed her career as a Presser working at local dry cleaners such as Auburndale Cleaners and Leblanc Cleaners. She was a member of the TNT Bible Church in Topsham and a past member of the 3M Club in Lewiston.

Juliette is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Rosario Gendron; three daughters Pauline Gendron, Patricia Paar and her husband Ray, and Katherine Boivin; grandchildren Matthew Gendron and his wife Caitlin, Amanda Boivin and her husband Adam Johnson, Ciara Gendron, Brandon Boivin, and Jacob Paar; great grandchildren Khloe Gendron, Matthew Gendron, Isabella Gendron and future great grandchild Scarlett Moody; sisters Florence Bushey and Theresa Fontaine.

She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Marguerite Stebbins and two grandchildren Julie & Joseph Pomerleau.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 1st from 5-7, and on Wednesday, February 2nd from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at The Fortin Group, 70 Horton Street, Lewiston.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11am at TNT Bible Church, 213 Foreside Road, Topsham.
