LEWISTON: Jacqueline D. Dumont, 95, of Lewiston peacefully passed away at her home on Monday May 21, 2018 with her loving family by her side. She was born in St. Evarist, PQ Canada on October 24, 1922 a daughter of the late Alfred and Yvonne (Giguere) Drouin. She moved to Maine as a child and attended local schools in the Lewiston area.
On January 11, 1947 she married Arthur F. Dumont at Ss. Peter & Paul Church in Lewiston and they started a family together. During that time, she worked at both Hill and Bates Mills as a Room Girl until her retirement in 1969. She was a current member of the Basilica of Ss. Peter & Paul in Lewiston. She will be deeply missed by many.
She is survived by her children; Roger Dumont and his wife Nancy of Auburn and Jane Dumont of Lewiston. She also leaves behind her granddaughter, Mary Jones and her children; Nathan, Erik, Lola and Tihan, her grandson, Darren Dumont and wife Cynthia and their children; Samuel, Liam and Oliver as well as several nieces, nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Arthur in 1989, her sister, Laurette Jacques and her brothers; Herode and Racide Drouin.

Visitation will be held at Fortin\Lewiston on Wednesday May 30, 2018 from 9:30-10:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at the Basilica of Ss. Peter & Paul (upper church) at 11am. Committal prayers will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Lewiston.
