Edwina M. Rodrigue

Born on October 5, 1930 in Frenchville, daughter of Alfred and Cecile Gorneault. She later moved to Lewiston with the two daughters, Darlene and Brenda.

She worked at Marois Restaurant and Labbe’s Catering as well as Bates Mill in the shoe industry for many years.

She loved camping at Tacoma Lakes, playing cards, going on trips with her daughters and family. She enjoyed lobster and family cookouts, looking for four-leaf clovers and watching Red Sox Games with her dog, Jewels, by her side.

She is survived by her daughters, Darlene and husband Bill Roy and Brenda Russell. Also, two sisters, Yvette Picard and Lorette Stec. Two brothers, Reggie Gorneault and Lionel Gorneault. Grandchildren, Tamara Roy and partner Marc Dube, Kim Saldana and husband Dave, Scott Russell and wife Emily, James Roy and wife Stephanie, Billy Roy and wife Rena, Deanna Roy, Victor Madore and wife Kathy. She had 13 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Roger, her parents, 1 son-in-law, 2 sister-in-laws, and 1 brother-in-law, 2 half-sisters, 2 half-brothers, 5 sisters and 5 brothers.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Androscoggin Hospice House for the exceptional care and compassion shown towards Edwina.

Friends and Family are warmly invited to a time of visitation, June 6, 2024 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm located at The Fortin Group situated at 217 Turner Street, Auburn Maine 04210. The funeral service will be held June 7, 2024 at 12:30pm at the Fortin Group situated 217 Turner Street, Auburn Maine 04210. A burial will take place directly after the service at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
