Charles W. Hinson

He was born in Norfolk, Virginia on May 18, 1932 the son of the late Charles and Katherine (Richardson) Hinson and had been a resident of this community since 1971.

He was a veteran of both the U.S Army and the U.S. Airforce.

He married Anita Y. Pomerleau on February 2, 1952; and she died on March 10, 2001.

Charles and his wife enjoyed camping, fishing and enjoying the outdoors. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by two sons William Hinson of Winthrop and Steven Hinson and his wife Kimberly of Auburn; one daughter Suzanne Smith and her husband Adam of Auburn; one sister Ankie Wood and her husband Bill of Little Rock, Arkansas; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife and his parents, he was predeceased by a son Donald Hinson who died on February 21, 2015.

Hinson- Died in Lewiston on Sunday, January 29, 2017. Mr. Charles W. age 84 a resident of Auburn. Graveside services along with military honors will be held later in the spring at St. Peter’s Cemetery. A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday from 6-8 PM only at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway, Lewiston 784-4023.
