She was born on May 8, 1934 in Fort Kent, ME a daughter of the late Fortuna & Clarisse (Hebert) Bourgoin. She grew up in Lewiston and worked at Knapp Shoe. She was married to William Libby, who passed away at a young age.
While Anita was never blessed with children of her own, she was a mother to her siblings and their children. She was a proud Catholic and lived her life with grace and kindness to all, alway generous even when her means did not allow.
She will be sadly missed by her sisters Sylvia Tancrel, Jeannette St. Amand and Marie Lebrun, her brother Roger Bourgoin Sr. and sister-in-law Carol Bourgoin as well as many nieces, nephews and all of their children. She was predeceased by her two sisters Diane Bean and Linda Bourgoin. Her brother Daniel Bourgoin Sr. As well as her brother-in-laws Laurier Tancrel, Roland St Amand and Gerard Lebrun.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, February 5, 2024 from 8:30 - 10:30 am at the Fortin Group, 70 Horton Street, Lewiston, ME. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am at Holy Cross Church 1080 Lisbon Street, Lewiston. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, Lewiston, ME.
