Born in Bristol, William was a life long resident of Levittown and graduated from Delhaas High School in 1976.
He worked as a material handler with Atos Steel in Morrisville for over 20 years.
Most important to William was spending time with his children and grandchildren. Attending their sporting events and family summer parties brought him the most joy. He will also be remembered as a fantastic cook.
Beloved husband of Christine M. (Prygon) for 20 years, William was the loving father of Angela Schoell (Joe Oliveti), William R. Schoell Jr. (Pamela), Shelby Shuster (Ryan) and Philip Smythe and the devoted grandfather of Gaven Stec, Arianna Schoell, Avery Oliveti, Brody Schoell, Aubrie Shelhamer and Kennedy Schoell.
Son of Aileen and the late John Schoell, William was the loving brother of Scottie Mershon (Robert), Sharon Powalski (Paul), John Schoell (Denise), Ginger Brounce (Robert), Jeffrey Schoell, Jacqueline Martin (Scott) and the late Denise Schoell.
He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his nephew, John R. Schoell.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, June 19, 2021, from 12:30 until 2:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm.
Please dress casually. No need for suits, ties, etc.
