Thomas J. Ryan died on Monday, March 1 2010 at Saint Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. He was 77. Born in Shenandoah, PA, the son of the late Catherine (Brennan) and Edward Ryan, Mr. Ryan has been a resident of Levittown since 1959. He was a member of Queen of the Universe Church, Levittown and also was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Saint Joseph the Worker Council, 4215. Mr. Ryan was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians of Bristol, Lodge #1 and was a long time CYO and Middletown Athletic Association Little League coach. He served in the US Army as a Military Policeman during the Korean War. Mr. Ryan was a machinist with Standard Press Steel for over 40 years. Beloved husband for 55 years to Dorothy A. (Magasko) and loving father of Robert T. (Deborah) of Langhorne, Sharon M. Erb (Kenneth) of Bensalem, Cynthia A. Dempsky of Philadelphia, Thomas J. (Jeanine) of Penndel and Doreen C. Mattingly (James) of Levittown; Mr. Ryan will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Jennifer, Candice, Scott, Brenda, Veronica, Alexandria, Rachael, Erin and Kira, his great grandson, Timmy, his sister, Margaret Lodge of Pennsauken, NJ, his brothers, Jack Ryan of New Jersey and Francis Ryan of Baltimore, MD and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to his memorial mass on Friday at 10:30 am at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown. Interment will be held privately at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions in Mr. Ryan's name be made to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, 34th St. & Civic Center Blvd., Development Office, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
