Samuel J. Coughlin Samuel J. Coughlin, of Levittown died on Monday, July 12, 2010 at Aria Health Bucks County. Born in Bristol, Mr. Coughlin was raised in Southwest Philadelphia and was an original Levittown homeowner for 60 years. He was employed with Bickley Furnaces in Andalusia for 32 years until retiring in 1991. Mr. Coughlin was a Navy veteran of World War II serving on the L.S.T. #268. He was a life member of the V.F.W. John Billington Post #6495 in Levittown and enjoyed traveling and playing golf. Mr. Coughlin was the beloved husband of Nancy (Hinz) Coughlin for 63 years. He was the loving father of Christine and her husband John Young of Langhorne and the late Richard J. Coughlin. He was the devoted grandfather of Devin Young and Patrick and Richard Coughlin He will also be sadly missed by his sister Nancy D. Hatfield of Philadelphia, his brother Edward D. and his wife Grace Coughlin of Melbourne, FL and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow in Locust Wood Cemetery in Cherry Hill, NJ.
