Ruth V. Barthel

Ruth V. Barthel Ruth V. Barthel, affectionately known as "Tintin", age 92, died on Friday, January 21, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Quincy, Illinois, Ruth was a longtime resident of Levittown, before moving to the Delaware Valley Veterans Home. In the 1940's, Ruth worked for the federal government in Washington, DC, where she met her beloved husband, the late James Barthel, a US Marine. Ruth is survived by her loving daughters, Michaela Caucci of Bristol; and Ann Winston of Olney, MD; her son in law, Evan Winston of Chevy Chase, MD; her three beloved granndchildren, Michael Caucci of Bristol; James Caucci and his fiancee, Sherry Thiele of Levittown; Jeannine Winston Patel, and her husband Nitesh, of Raleigh, NC; her cherised great-granddaughter, Jayla Rae Caucci; and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, January 29 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown, where her funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 555 E. North Ln. Conshohocken, PA 19428 would be appreciated by the family.
