Robertus A.H. van de Beek died surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at his home in Levittown. He was 88. Mr. van de Beek was born in Soerakarta "Java" Indonesia and immigrated from the Netherlands in 1956 after serving in the Dutch Army and college. He has been a Lower Bucks County resident for the past 15 years. He was a former 35 year resident of Monroe Township, NJ. Mr. van de Beek served on the Monroe Township Board of Education; First Aid Squad; the Planning Board; and the Chamber of Commerce Union while residing in Monroe Twp. He was a Micro Biologist with Griffith Laboratories in Union, NJ for over 30 years. Mr. van de Beek was a member and officer of the Middletown and Langhorne Seniors. Beloved husband of the late Roxane (Dresher), Mr. van de Beek was the loving father of Robin S. Boyer of Levittown; Gwen Doll (John) of Cinnaminson, NJ; Jay D. van de Beek (Elizabeth) of Livingston, NJ; and Henry R. van de Beek of South River, NJ. He was the devoted grandfather of Noelle E. and Amber C. van de Beek; Aaron, Matthew, Robert and Joseph Doll; and Brandon, Ashley and Sheyenne van de Beek. Mr. van de Beek will also be sadly missed by his loving companion, Nancy Williams. He was the brother of the late Fieka van Eijsden and is survived by his brother-in-law Teun van Eijsden and nephews Peter, Bertjan and Diederick van Eijsden all living in Holland. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, from 7:00 until 9:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 8:00 pm. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at Fernwood Cemetery in Jamesburg, New Jersey.
