Richard F. McFadden

Richard F. "Dick" McFadden of Levittown died on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Aria Torresdale Hospital. He was 74. Born in Mt. Carmel, PA, Mr. McFadden was an original Levittown resident. He graduated from Father Judge High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army and Marine Corps. Mr. McFadden was employed with U.S. Steel for 35 years until retiring. He enjoyed bowling and was a member of various bowling leagues. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph the Worker Council #4215. He was an animal lover and will be deeply missed by his beloved dogs. Mr. McFadden was the beloved husband of Nancy C. (Devlin) McFadden. He was the loving father of Colleen Orr (Jim), Kathleen Fleming (Lou), Sean McFadden (Dawn), Teena Parillo, Larry Stroup, Jeff Stroup (Sheryl) and Greg Stroup (Amy). He will also be missed by 13 grandchildren; his sister Lenore Vuk (Pete) and his brother Thomas McFadden (Audrienne). Family and friends may call Thursday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the food pantry at United Christian Church, 8525 New Falls Rd, Levittown, PA 19054 or the S.P.C.A., 350 E Erie Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19134.
