Patricia T. Whitfield

Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Whitfield was a life long resident of the city. She was formerly a teacher at St. Timothy's parish school.

Patricia was the beloved wife of Charles Whitfield Sr. for 57 years.

She was the loving mother of Charles Whitfield Jr and the late Timothy Whitfield; devoted grandmother of Melissa Gusoff (Wayne), Kelly Kennedy (Shawn) and Bridget Whitfield and great grandmother of Hannah and Thomas Gusoff.

Patricia will also be missed by her sisters, Sam Maleno (Joe), Joanne Wingo, Karen Leonard (Ken Waters) and Christine Hodges (Bruce); extended family members, Mary Whitfield and Jennifer Whitfield as well as several nieces and nephews.

Throughout her married life Patricia loved spreading hugs and kisses to her sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The monthly visits with her family were a love fest and in between visits she would write notes to all of them communicating her desire to build their self esteem.

Family and friends are invited to call from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 1st, at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 325 S. Oxford Valley Rd., Fairless Hills where her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m.  Interment of ashes will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
