Nancy A. Blystone

Nancy Blystone Nancy Blystone went to heaven, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at her home in Levittown. She was 78. Mrs. Blystone was born in Wheeling, WV, the daughter of the late Agnes (Easley) and Gale Ruffner, and was raised in Freeport., PA. She has been a Levittown resident for forty-eight years. She was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish, Levittown where she was also a member of the Sodality. Mrs. Blystone enjoyed playing canasta and going on trips to Long Beach Island and Myrtle Beach. Her most enjoyable moments was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was employed with Pathmark in Fairless Hills as a cashier and bookkeeper for twenty-nine years, retiring in 1993. Beloved wife of fifty-six years to Robert A., Mrs. Blystone is the loving mother of Robert M., Gail A., Glenn D. and Brian S. (Susan) Blystone, all of Levittown; the devoted grandmother of Michael Devlin (Carolann), Christine Devlin (Johnny), Brian Rubino (Jackie), Sheena Rubino (Jeffrey), Gregory Green (Kathryn), Brian Blystone, Melissa Blystone and Audrey Blystone and the great grandmother of ten. She was the sister of John P. Ruffner (Shirley) of Freeport, Linda L. Rutter of Bristol, William Ruffner (Carol) of Natrona Heights, PA, James Ruffner (Daphne) of Kittanning, PA and Mary Kranak (John), Oakmont, PA. She will also be sadly missed by her brother-in-law, Francis Koprivnikar and her dogs, Lucy, Dutchess and Bella. Mrs. Blystone was preceded in death by her son, Mark, her sister, Jean G. Koprivnikar and her brother, Michael Ruffner. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, 7:00 until 9:00 pm and on Wednesday, 8:15 until 9:15 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, 10:00 am, at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, Levittown. Rite of Committal to follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
