Margaret "Peggy" Frances Bowden passed from this earth on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at St. Mary Medical Center after a brief fight with lung cancer. She was 73. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Peggy formerly resided in Trenton before moving to Bucks County in 1955. She was a registered nurse for over 20 years working at many area facilities until retiring from Woods Services in 1999. Peggy was a member of the Women of the Moose in Bristol and the Ladies Auxiliary of the John Billington VFW Post #6495. She enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family. Peggy was preceded in death by two children Diane Britton and Cathy Britton. She is survived by her husband William M. Bowden; four children, Denise Liberto (Ron) of Langhorne, Charles Britton Jr. of Levittown, Michelle MacKay (Curt) of Langhorne and Tim Britton of Warrington. Also surviving are her six beloved grandchildren, Rachael Liberto of Langhorne, Sarah MacKay of Nashville, Mitchell MacKay of Langhorne, Kirsten , Krystle and Kevin Britton all of Warrington. Peggy will also be missed by stepchildren, Ingrid M. (James) Turcich of Delran, NJ and William M. Bowden, Jr. of San Francisco, CA; step grandchildren Monica Turcich (David Ludwick) of London. England and Brian Turcich (Carly) of Philadelphia and step great grandson Otto of London, England . Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 6 until 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday from 12 until 12:30 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where her memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. Interment is private.
