Lorraine Summers

Lorraine Summers Lorraine Summers, of Fairless Hills, died on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Saint Mary Medical Center, Langhorne at the age of 83. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Helen L. (McCormick) and Joseph Maillard. From Fairless Hills she and her late husband, Chester, had moved to Pensacola, Florida where she lived for several years prior to moving back to Lower Bucks County. Lorraine was a member of Saint Frances Cabrini Parish, Fairless Hills. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lorraine was the beloved wife of 62 years to the late Chester L. Summers. She is the loving mother of Michael (Gail) of Fairless Hills, Terri A., Pensacola, FL, Timothy R. (Chris) of Levittown, Barbara L. (Bob) Guzzi of Fairless Hills and William J. (Joan) of Fairless Hills. She will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Steven, Christopher, Ann and her husband, Norman, Christina and her husband, Matthew, Bob, Kim, Kevin, Lori, Matt, Jess; her great grandchildren, Braya, Norman, Aylanni and Alexander and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Her memorial mass will be held on Monday, 9:30 am at Saint Frances Cabrini Church. A funeral procession will form on Monday at 11:45 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Church to leave promptly at 12:00 noon for interment in Washington Crossing National Cemetery. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to the American Heart Association, 625 West Ridge Pike, Suite 100, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
