Leo J. Riley of Fairless Hills, died on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Aria Hospital Bucks County. He was 90. Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Riley has been a life long resident of Bucks County. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a fighter pilot on various carriers, primarily the USS Yorktown. Leo was a co-designer and builder of a small personal commuter plane known as the Paraplane. He enjoyed traveling, pinochle and trips to the casinos. Mr. Riley was the beloved husband of the late Ann C. Riley. He was the loving father of the late Joanne Pitcherello and her surviving husband Larry, Barbara McDonough and her husband Jim, Lee J. Riley and his late wife Val Harris, the late Robert J. Riley, Susan Peterson and her husband Mark and Bryan D. Riley and his wife Leslie. He was the devoted grandfather of Christopher, Lori and Martin Pitcherello, Brian, Kevin and Michael McDonough, Megan Donahey, Krista Vo and Christopher and Ryan Peterson. Brother of Patricia, Regina and the late Theresa, he will also be missed by 9 great grandchildren, his daughter-in-law Cheryl Donahey, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Interment will be private.
